WECRE8: Logistics Meeting
On May 11, 2021, Angela Ren, our founder, attended a meeting with the leaders of the WECRE8 Social Enterprise Fellowship. WECRE8 is an innovative program that transforms students into knowledgeable entrepreneurs and young leaders. This fellowship applies many different business practices and administrative disciplines to drive high-impact social change. Over the course of this summer, different student run organizations have the opportunity to make a difference in their community and Youth4ward is one of the many establishments taking part in this program.
During the meeting, Angela discussed the logistics and events that Youth4ward has planned for WECRE8. We have arranged a field trip to Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services where we will be hosting a fundraiser for their organization to help spread awareness, raise money, and gather basic necessities that they don’t have access to. Youth4ward will also be hosting many workshops in collaboration with Asian Youth Center, educating children from 3rd-8th grade about topics such as online safety, social media etiquette, and real-world preparatory. Youth4ward is very excited to be a part of WECRE8 and can not wait to take this organization to the next level.
