KYCC's Second Annual "Unwind Your Mind" Youth Summit

On April 28, 2023, Youth4ward attended the Second Annual “Unwind Your Mind” Youth Summit, hosted by the Koreatown Youth and Community Center (KYCC).

KYCC was established in 1975 to support the population of at-risk youth in the area. To this day, KYCC offers many areas of education, housing, finances, health, and more. KYCC aims to aid recently immigrated youth and families that are economically disadvantaged. They serve upwards of 11,000 people throughout their eight locations within Koreatown. 

Unwind Your Mind, first held April 22 2022, allocating a safe space for youth members of the community at Anderson Munger YMCA. Educational workshops focused on mental health, relationships, etc. while wellness workshops took place as well. Youth4ward had the opportunity to table alongside other organizations, such as our partners from CPAF. Youth4ward was able to relay our mission and services offered to a variety of youth. We introduced them to our organization’s projects, resources, and answered their questions about the Foster Care System.
